What is aquaculture? But first, the researchers reason there must have been a small human population turning to aquaculture — farming fish and other water animals like shrimp or clams. It differs from agriculture, which deals with the farming of plants and animals that live on land (e.g. cows, chickens for dairy mills; crops like your corns and wheats). Farmers are always looking for new and easier ways to operate such systems. Others are deploying sensors to maintain the polution of their water in control so as to protect the fishes for living.
